My passion in life is to open the line of communication between dogs and their owners via positive reinforcement training methods. I love to educate dog owners on how their dog learns and perceives the world thusly providing a solid foundation for training and effective communication between dog and owner to successfully modify unwanted behavior. I also enjoy playing with and supervising all kinds of dogs both indoors and outdoors in an off-leash daycare and boarding environment. I think dog daycare is a great outlet that provides dogs with a safe and healthy play environment to enrich their spirit, increase their social skills, offer an off-leash area to exercise their body, and give hours of play to stimulate their mind.Prior to play, I always evaluate dogs to determine temperament for play yard. I also am a Graduate of The International Academy of Pet Design. Therefore, I can provide professional grooming services for companion animals. I love grooming dogs in order to improve and maintain their hygiene, comfort and appearance. This also gives me the chance to assess the condition of animals' coat and determine grooming needs with dog owners. Ok, I admit it....I am an official "dog dork". Why do I say this? Well, my spare time is spent at the dog park. While there, you will find me educating dog owners on ways to understand how a dog learns and perceives the world in order to provide a solid foundation for training and effective communication between dog and owner. My life passion...providing education to dog owners on the use of positive training techniques via the use of rewards to back up good behavior, vocal corrections to deter unwanted behavior. I also remind them to never use harsh punishment. I feel I have done my lifes work if I have shared positive ways dog owners can successfully modifiy a dog’s unwanted behavior such as: house training, feeding issues, toy guarding and phobias.
