Recipient of the Order of Canada Abraham Rapoport, C.M., M.D., F.R.C.P.(C). C.M. Toronto, Ontario Honour Member of the Order of Canada Appointment May 30, 2001 Investiture May 12, 2003 Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto, he played an instrumental role in the development and advancement of nephrology in Canada. A former physician-in-chief at the Toronto Western Hospital, he set a standard of excellence in clinical care and research. Recruiting and training many young clinicians and investigators, he developed an outstanding department of medicine at the Hospital.
