Chris DeFrancis, a longtime resident of Doylestown, Pa., died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Golden Living Center. He was 91.
Chris was the husband of Elizabeth Arcade DeFrancis.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Christino and Claudina Ambrosini DeFrancis.
Chris came to Doylestown in 1954.
He was a watch maker by trade, working on Samson Street in Philadelphia, ultimately being employed by the former Howard's Jewelers in Doylestown.
He was a World War II Army veteran, a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and a member of the Sons of Italy.
Chris was an avid golfer, and enjoyed wood working.
In addition to this wife, he is survived by his son, Stephen C. DeFrancis and his wife, Ruth, of Glenside, Pa.; a grandson, Stephen H. DeFrancis; a brother, Albert DeFrancis of Media, Pa.; and two sisters-in-law, Madelyn Liss, of Southampton, Pa.; and Joanne Russo of Yardley.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901, where friends may call from 9:30 a.m., until the time of Mass. Interment will follow Mass in St. Mary's Cemetery.
