In fact, she had a different last name than her son Louis because she had remarried, and her second husband's name was Abel Abraham Fleishman. This is chronicled in family memoirs by three of Abel Fleishman's granddaughters, Ella Fleishman Auerbach, Gertrude Fleishman Haffner, and Dorothy Fleishman Schucart.
